"Developing a Presence"
The 2007 theme of "Building for the Future" provided the chapter with the tools necessary to develop a strong foundation. We saw many successes as an organization and as individuals. This organization is focused on helping people achieve there goals, whether those people are members of the Cockeysville-Timonium Jaycees, members of our community in need or both.
In 2008 this is not going to change, we are still going to focus on helping people reach there goals but in a bigger way. The 2008 Chapter of the Cockeysville-Timonium Junoir Chamber will be focusing on “Developing a Presence” in the community and we are going to need your help. “Developing a Presence” is about getting more involved with the members of our community and the community itself to create a positive image and increase our impact.

Join us on the Beautiful outdoor deck of the Hightopps Bar & Grille as we take our first steps into new territory and celebrate the birth of the Northern Baltimore County Junoir Chamber. This is a GREAT OPPOTUNITY to meet new people, catch up with old friends. Also, if you are not familiar with the Junior Chamber this is an opportunity to get to know us and find out what we are all about. Jeopardy at Mercy Ridge
Location: Mercy Ridge Retirement Community
Time:7:30pm – 8:30pm
Mercy Ridge is a Assisted Living Retirement and Continuing Care Community which provides it residence with “exemplary care in a supportive and loving environment, with a special focus on service” and they have been so gracious as to invite into their community to play Jeopardy with some of their residence. If you do not want to participate I am sure it will be well worth it just to come hang out and watch. Last time we visited we played Charades and everyone had a great time, Jaycees and Residents alike. Don’t miss this it is going to be a great time!!! Visit the Children of the Rachel House at the St. Vincent Center
Location: St. Vincent’s Center (2600 Pot Spring Rd, Lutherville Timonium, MD 21093)
Time: 6:45 pm – 8:00 pm
This is a monthly event the Northern Baltimore County Junior Chamber have been participated in for a long time and a large part of why I joined the Jaycees. This visit provides us with the opportunity to enrich the lives of children who have not had an easy life. During our time at the Rachel house we spend time doing crafts and serving snacks, but even more importantly providing the kids with positive role models, so come join us at this great event. Hereford Fall Festival
Location: Mt. Carmel Road, One Block East of I-83, Exit 27
Time: 10 am – 6pm
Come join the NBC Junior Chamber as we make our PREMIER at the Hereford Fall Festival. We will be selling pumpkins to be painted and candy to be eaten. Just in case you need more of a reason to come out to the fall fest and give us a hand the festival will be packed with excitement. There will be LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, Cold Beer, Wine Tasting of some of the finest local wines, Food, Auctions, Ravens Cheerleaders, Pony Rides and much, much more….
